Discover the sport of polo for the first time in Hong Kong. This autumn, the city’s first polo club will open, giving complete beginners and existing players alike the chance to experience the sport of kings right here, in Hong Kong.
Our Facility
Set against the scenic backdrop of the stunning Pat Sin Leng Country Park, and just half an hour from Hong Kong’s city centre, Phase 1 of the Hong Kong Polo Club, the Polo Academy, will feature a dedicated polo arena, modern stables with livery, turnout paddocks, and a small clubhouse with washroom amenities.

Polo is a fast-paced equestrian sport played on horseback, where teams aim to score goals by striking a small ball into the opposing team’s goal using a mallet. It’s unique in that you have two sets of teammates: your fellow players and your horse!
At the Hong Kong Polo Club, we focus on Arena Polo, a variation played in a smaller, enclosed space with three players per team. Arena Polo uses a larger, softer ball and highlights precision, teamwork, and quick decision-making. It’s ideal for beginners, as the controlled environment makes learning more accessible and allows play year-round.

The Hong Kong Polo Club will open in two phases. The first phase, launching this autumn, will feature our Polo Academy, including a polo arena, stables, a small clubhouse, washroom facilities, and a scenic trail for horse walks.
Located in Fanling, the club is just 40 minutes from Central and offers on-site parking, with convenient access to nearby public transport.

No experience or horses are needed, just bring your enthusiasm! Our school welcomes everyone, from adults who have never ridden before to children with prior equestrian experience. All lessons and polo activities are conducted on our specially trained polo ponies, known for their safety, reliability, and big hearts—both on and off the field.

Polo’s costs can vary widely. Beginner-friendly programmes like ours are designed to be much more affordable. We provide horses, equipment, and tailored lessons, so you can experience polo without the need for major investments.

We aim to launch this autumn, prioritising the wellbeing of our horses as they settle into Hong Kong.
